Festival Benefactor (private individuals)​

If you are an individual interested in supporting the continued success of the Brecon Choir Festival, we invite you to consider becoming a Benefactor by contributing to some of our exciting new initiatives. In 2025, our festival theme will be “R.S. Thomas: Music, Man…Machine”.  Some of the initiatives we are seeking support for include:

• Commissioning new pieces of music set to the words of one of R.S. Thomas's poems.

• Supporting events exploring the relevance and historical context of R.S. Thomas.

• Hiring musicians to accompany a Come & Sing Workshop and a concert of Mendelssohn's Elijah, to be performed as the opening event of the 2025 Festival with Brecon Singers and other choral singers from across Wales.

• Helping us to host the best of young and upcoming choirs from across the UK by enabling them to attend the festival by offering discounted accommodation and covering travel costs.

• Supporting singing workshops in schools.
